opportunities in the Mildura Region, and the
Riverland of South Australia. Both
postgraduate and Honours students complete
their degree studies by working on
Riverlink.PRN research projects, interacting
closely with regional horticulture industries
and natural resource management
organisations. The Riverlink.PRN aims to
increase study and work opportunities for
postgraduate students in the region,
strengthening regional research capabilities.
Five postgraduate students have completed the
program since its inception, and another eight
are currently studying in the region.

INSTITUTE OF TAFE
Sunraysia Institute of TAFE is the major provider
of vocational education and training
in the Mildura Region, with specialist staff and
extensive training facilities to service fresh
food, wine and dryland farming industries.
The Institute has an economically viable
horticultural training property at Cardross
planted with winegrapes, dried fruit, citrus and
avocados. The Institute recently opened the
Centre for Sustainable Land and Water
Management, in Benetook Avenue, Mildura. 2005 courses include:

Certificate IV in Food Processing
Certificate II in Food Processing (Viticulture)
