LA TROBE UNIVERSITY - MILDURA CAMPUS
The Mildura Campus of La Trobe University is located in a new $4.5m facility completed in November 2003 and also utilises specialist facilities of Sunraysia Institute of TAFE. 300 students were enrolled at the Campus in 2004.

La Trobe University is the premier sponsor of the Mildura-Wentworth Arts Festival and also conducts an annual series of Public Lectures. La Trobe University is also a partner in the Barkindji Biosphere.

RIVERLINK POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH NETWORK (RIVERLINK.PRN)
The Riverlink.Postgraduate Research Network (Riverlink.PRN) was launched in Mildura on 4 July 2001 and is a joint initiative of Riverlink and La Trobe University, providing increased

postgraduate research and training opportunities in the Mildura Region, and the Riverland of South Australia. Both postgraduate and Honours students complete their degree studies by working on Riverlink.PRN research projects, interacting closely with regional horticulture industries and natural resource management organisations. The Riverlink.PRN aims to increase study and work opportunities for postgraduate students in the region, strengthening regional research capabilities.

Five postgraduate students have completed the program since its inception, and another eight are currently studying in the region.

INSTITUTE OF TAFE

Sunraysia Institute of TAFE is the major provider of vocational education and training in the Mildura Region, with specialist staff and extensive training facilities to service fresh food, wine and dryland farming industries. The Institute has an economically viable horticultural training property at Cardross planted with winegrapes, dried fruit, citrus and avocados. The Institute recently opened the Centre for Sustainable Land and Water Management, in Benetook Avenue, Mildura.
