Natural Gas
Natural Gas was introduced to the Mildura Region in 1999, initially to service major industrial and commercial users.

Mildura is services with natural gas by the Berri-Mildura pipeline.

From the City Gate, a distribution network delivers high pressure natural gas to businesses and residential customers in Mildura, Irymple and Red Cliffs.

A secure supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas is readily available from depots and distributors in the Mildura Region.

As a portable energy source, LPG provides considerable flexibility.

The Mildura Region is well-serviced by an array of telecommunications providers.

The digital mobile telephone coverage is continually expanding and the region lays claim to having Australia's first independent hybrid fibre and coaxial (HFC) infrastructure full service telecommunications network (Neighbourhood Cable).

Telstra and Neighbourhood Cable both have offices located in the Mildura region.

Regional Broadband Network

Judithe Lovick-Andrews has been appointed as the Regional Broadband Coordinator for the Shepparton - Mildura - Broken Hill route of the Regional Backbone Blackspots Program.

Judithe is part of the Department of Broadband, Communication and the Digital Economy, and is located at the Mildura Development Corporation.

The National Broadband Network is an Australian Government initiative and represents the largest ever infrastructure project undertaken in the country, and it will deliver high speed broadband to all Australians.

The Regional Backbone Blackspots Program is a $250 million investment by the Australian Government to improve the supply of backbone transmission links to regional centres where there is a lack of competitive backbone infrastructure.
