There are a number of commercially made packaged food goods being produced in the Mildura Region from locally grown produce. Many of the products are available nationally at gourmet retail outlets and some are exporting overseas. The cottage industry in this area is fast developing, with many homebased businesses developing varied products made from fresh produce grown in the region or their own backyard. Some of these products are available from the local Sunday markets and selected retail outlets.
